Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo has opened up about his experience sharing the dressing room with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Both Ronaldo and Messi are two of the greatest players in football history, having jointly won 12 Ballon d’Or awards. Both of them have also won almost every trophy available with club and country. Every player around the world wants to enjoy the opportunity to play with one of the two superstars.

Meanwhile, Arthur is one of the few players to play with both Ronaldo and Messi. The Brazilian midfielder shares the Juventus dressing room with the Portuguese captain and has played alongside Messi at Barcelona.

Speaking about his experience playing with Ronaldo and Messi, Arthur said the winning mentality of Al-Nassr and the Paris Saint-Germain superstar set them apart from other players. The Liverpool midfielder said that the attitude of these two superstar players is also the main similarity between the two.

“The main similarity between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is the mentality to win,” Arthur told TNT Sports, “Could be a Champions League final or a friendly… The mentality of these two is unbelievable.”

Although Arthur said that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have different personalities off the field, he claims that Ronaldo is more playful than Messi.

“They are two personalities, off the field, a little different,” said Arthur, “Leo is a little more reserved and Cristiano is a little more playful. But, in the working circle, the mentality of the two is something to admire and (you) have to try infinitely to get closer to it.”
