Agency – Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has said that he would like to see Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) Kylian Mbappe play in the same team. After retiring from football, Henry, who is working as a football analyst, said during a television program that he wanted to see three young stars in the same team.
Real Madrid and Manchester City faced off at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Tuesday night. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Vinicius Junior scored a great goal from outside the box in the 36th minute to give Real the lead. City later equalized. But Halland did not perform very well.
During a televised post-match show, Henry suggested that someone should put Haaland, Vinicius and Mbappe in the same team. Henry said, “Vinicius Jr on the left, Mbappé & Haaland as upfront. Someone, please put them together in a team.”
All the three superstars have excelled in the 2022-23 season. Vinicius Jr. has emerged as Real Madrid’s most effective attacker. He has contributed 44 goals in 51 games this season. Manchester City goal machine Holland is currently the top scorer in Europe.
He has scored 51 goals in 47 matches in all competitions. On the other hand, French young star Mbappe is also performing well. He has scored 36 goals in 39 games this season and has 9 assists to his name. Interestingly, Los Blancos have long been linked with Haaland and Mbappe. At some point, both the stars may join Real.
